 Close! Sairee Beach is Koh Tao's longest stretch of white soft sand! It offers some of the islands best and most accessible snorkelling adventures with the reef starting just 100 meters off shore. Being protected most of the year from wind and weather tops of the perfection - and that's just what you can do in the day time. In the night time the fun really starts...
Where to eat
There are a number of excellent spots to dine along the Sairee. Infact the whole beach is littered with small sea food restaurants where you can take your dinner sitting in a chair or even lying down on comfortable pillows. Lots of the restaurants don't even have names. One of the best restaurants on Sairee Beach is El Toro Restaurant, offering a wide range of quality dishes spanning from Mexican and Scandinavian to Barbequed Sea Food. Truly an excellent place to enjoy the cool tropical nights...
Where to go out
There are several excellent venues on Sairee Beach. In Touch is a low-key beach and lounge bar at the southern end of the beach. It offers a excellent ambiance and a perfect location and is highly recommended.
AC Bar is Koh Tao's original party extravaganza: a traditional hardcore disco right on the waters edge. Also recommended.
Where to Stay
 There are accommodation to suit every taste and budget. Obviously the closer to the beach you want to be the more expensive it gets. Prices start at around 400 THB per night for basic accommodation. Most of the small bungalow style resorts will not let you book online and availability can be sparse on Sairee in peak season (well most of the year).
Highly recommended and book-able is Anankhira Luxury Villas in the deluxe category, Coral Grand Resort and Thipwimarn Resort in the superior category.

Lotus Resort - Central location + excellent atmosphere.
Seashell Resort - Great location + bungalows.
What If I don't book ahead...
That's fine! But be prepared to spend half a day searching in the scorching sun being pestered by touts, taxi drivers, stray dogs while still ending up not getting what you want...
